Viewing Metadata Items Created by Registry Users as an Admin

Note: You need to be an admin of the registry to perform the actions described below.

Problem: How to view the list of metadata items created by registry users or a specific registry user.

Solution: You can generate a list of metadata items created by a registry user using the report builder in the Aristotle Registry.

Steps to generate the report:

  • Click on your name in the header.
  • Click on Toolbox.
  • Click on ‘Go to Metadata Reports’ in Metadata Reports section.

  • Click on ‘New Report’.
  • Select the Stewardship Organisation. For example, if you want to generate a report for all stewardship organisations, select ‘All Steward Organisations’ from the options.
  • For the base model, type ‘All Metadata Items’ and select it from the available options. You will see a list of attributes on the left side. Scroll down in the attributes section and drag and drop ‘name’ to the ‘Add columns’ section. This will add the metadata item names to the list.
  • Then click on submitter, foreign key from the attributes list to get user details.
  • Drag and drop the attributes you want to include about the user from this list, such as full_name, short_name, email, etc.

  • Click on Generate Report to see the report.
  • The report will display all metadata items with the details you selected from the submitter options, such as submitter name and email.
  • This will show you the list of all users and the metadata items they submitted.
  • To view the metadata items submitted by a specific user, under ‘Add filters’, drag submitter’s full_name, select ‘text contains’, and enter the name of the user you want to view.
  • Click on Generate Report, and you will see the list of metadata items submitted by that particular user.
